Just this past January, The Cityview Hotel in Kowloon changed their atrium setting. Where before there was a round glass table in the centre of the atrium lounge, they now put a black grand piano. I was asked to change the flower arrangement design to match this new setting.
Usually, the surface of the piano top is very easy to scratch and is thus not suitable for a heavy container. I therefore aimed for a design that is elegant, neat, yet not heavy. This is a fun challenge for me! Below are the designs I came up with these past weeks.
